Building tomorrow’s civil economy

October 3rd, 2009

Here’s the video made during “Tomorrow’s civil economy” event, organised by the Carnegie UK Trust, at which I was one of the speakers. The event, part of the Festival of Politics 2009, was held in the Holyrood Parliament on August 22nd. Morag of the Carnegie UK Trust sent me the link to this ages ago but its taken me several weeks to get around to posting it here. In answer to a question from George Reid, I remarked that part of the problem is that most auditors, fund managers, and executive and non-executive directors of banks share the same short-termist mindset and prioritise short-term financial performance above all else.
