Tony,

Thanks very much for your comment. Believe me, I am enraged, and I have seen Inside Job - it is an excellent film. See my review here http://www.ianfraser.org/inside-job-lifts-lid-on-biggest-and-most-shamless-heist-in-history/

Best wishes,

It's not that surprising. The SEC doesn't seem to be interested in prosecuting anyone on Wall Street other than the small end of town. Bernie Madoff may have wrecked the lives of many but it's small beer considering the government assistance given to Wall Street firms. What about Egan Jones? An independent ratings agency where the investor rather than the vendor pays for the rating, unlike the big three. It was the first to issue ratings downgrades for Enron and Worldcom and is currently being sued by the SEC. The worst a Wall Street firm can expect is a fine without having to admit wrong doing. If you really want to be enraged I suggest a viewing of Charles Ferguson's film "Inside Job".
