Shredded Tweets

July 7th, 2014

Here is a selection of tweets about Shredded: Inside RBS The Bank That Broke Britain which was published by Birlinn Books on 6 June (a few other Shredded Tweets are posted here). I’d like to thank all the senders of these messages for buying the book, reading it, and for their positive feedback. It’s heartening and makes me feel all the effort has been worthwhile.

A lot has happened over the past two weeks, including launch events in London and Edinburgh and a media tour of London broadcasting studios, which included interviews with Channel 5, CNBC Squawk Box, Russia Today, IBTimes and the BBC. There was also the Royal Bank of Scotland AGM at Gogarburn.

Other highlights of the past four weeks have included the FT’s chief economics commentator Martin Wolf naming Shredded one of his seven books of the year (so far) and positive reviews by Bill Jamieson in The Scotsman and Colin Donald in The Herald. The book has consistently been a number one or two bestseller in the relevant categories on Amazon.co.uk since launch. For publishing anoraks, Kindle sales overtook hardback sales for the first time on Friday 4 July.
